Little Heroes

Capes

I got Quinn and Cannon superhero capes while I was in Mexico. Cannon cried everytime we put it on him. Finally tonight he decided if Quinn was having so much fun wearing his, then maybe he could give it a try. But it is too scary putting the mask on, so he just wore it on top of his head. Quinn ran around and did poses and karate chops.

Preschool Promotion

Quinn graduated from preschool today. Most of the kids did pretty good standing up front, but a few had a melt down. Here is a picture of my favorite melt down.....and the mom yelling from the back, "It's OK baby, you can dot it sweetie, oooohhhh you want your mamma, oh sweetie, sit down in your chair by the other kids, ooohhh don't cry, oooooh you want your mamma." It was quite dramatic. The teachers were getting nervous that a siren of cries would soon follow by the other preschoolers. It was all kind of funny. Quinn brought home a packet of fun crafts that he made this year. It was fun to go through those.

3 Boys - No Privacy

When Cannon is bored he starts wandering around the house pulling drawers open to see what new surprises he can find and play with. So today, I hadn't been paying attention and I walked into Quinn's room and on the train table I found an article of clothing that Cannon must have pulled out of my drawer. I'm sure he carried it around the house until he got sick of it and ditched it here for something more exciting. It reminds me of the the time that Quinn put it on his head and wore it for earmuffs.

Parents & Honey Do List

My mom and dad came this last weekend. We had such a good time. A couple weeks ago I had made a list of all the improvements that needed to be done around the house. My dad found the list and made it his personal mission to cross off everything on the list while he was here. He nearly did it. He and Nate put new light fixtures up, installed new light switches, put a closet light switch in, tore down an old shed, hauled it to the dump, set up a new shed, put in a back splash for our kitchen sink, and put some finishing pieces on the cupboards in our kitchen. It was awesome. And of course the entire time, they had a 5-year-old and a 1-year-old following them around stealing their tools. SOOO Helpful!

10 Year Anniversary

Nate's brother-in-law, Dave arranged and SUV Limo to pick everyone up and take us downtown Portland. It was quite fancy. We ate at an italian restaurant and then went and had dessert at Papa Hayden's. It was so fun. Nate's family always has the best time together.
The italian owner of the store took a liking to our family and started puckering up to kiss us. He was the cutest little old man ever.
I also had to add a picture of all the grandkids together. I think this is the first time we have had them all together to do this.

Nalani and Jed's

I took the boys and stayed with Nalani and Jed this last week. We had a blast. Nalani is on maternity leave and we knew we might not get her undivided attention again for awhile, so we took full advantage. I think we sufficiently wore out our welcome. We truly loved seeing little baby Cash and he started cooing and telling us all kinds of stories. Nalani is a good mom. She doesn't get to stressed about things. Her house is a rotating door. People come and go like crazy and love being at the Baadsgaards. Jed did a great job blessing Cash and Kami made his blessing outfit and it was amazing. We got to meet Meridith and her kids while we were there. She is an awesome person, a great mother and her kids are adorable. Thanks for taking the time to come hang out with us Meridith! We also spent a day with Nate's sister Audrey. I love her and the boys lover her. At the end of our stay Nate rolled into town on a motorcycle my dad had bought in New Mexico. It really hurt Nate's feelings to go and pick that up for my dad and drive it through the canyons and into Utah.
THANKS BAADSGAARDS FOR LETTING US HANG OUT!

Airplane Window

Quinn and Cannon loved looking out the airplane window. They had lots of great sights to see. We flew real close to Mt Hood, and in the distance Mt Jefferson, and the 3 Sisters.

Jed took the boys for a ride on the 4 wheeler behind their house and then we went out to his parents farm and we rode the Rhino out to see the baby calves. Thanks Jed!

Sleeping Baby Cash

I was cracking up that Cash stayed asleep in his stroller the whole time we were at Kangaroo Zoo. It was so loud with kids and craziness and he just slumbered.

Water Fountain

At one point this week, I gave up on trying to keep Cannon away from the water fountain. He was completely covered in water and germs by the time he was done. I had to take his clothes off and let him run around in his diaper.

Kangaroo Zoo

Nalani and Meridith suggested we take the kids to Kangaroo Zoo . Huge blown up castles and slides the kids can jump on. Loved it. You can get a serious work out climbing those slides while holding a 2 year old. The kids loved it.....ok, so did I.

Hail & Rain

Carrie and I decided to take the kids to the park one afternoon and right as we stepped foot onto the premises the skies opened and it poured, we even hung out for a minute to see if it would let up, but no, it poured. The kids still played and had fun. I loved seeing Carrie. It's always so easy to be around her and she has the funniest outlook on life.

So Sophisticated

Quinn met his match. .......Riley, a gal that also believes that she is older than all other 5-year-olds, can out talk any of them, and is so sophisticated. I was cracking up at the two of them.

Super Heroes

I got the boys ready for bed and realized that they were both in their super heroes pajamas and thought it was blog worthy. Superman and Batman protected our home that evening as we slumbered.
