Chinese work truck and worker

Surely this truck is NOT OSHA approved:

  1. No door

  2. No Seatbelt

  3. No hood cover

  4. Wood slat supported canvas cab

  5. And I have a sneaky suspision that this vehicle has not been in for an emissions test in quite a while.

The worker dude is carrying a wicker broom he is using to sweep the streets. When you have more people than there are stars in the sky I guess mechanized street-sweepers become unecessary.

Chinglish

A classic example of Chinglish.

China

Here are some pics from China to give you a feel for how some people live. Its not pretty. This area was right behind my 5-star hotel. The contrast of my hotel room and what I saw out the window was remarkable. This area will probably be a high-rise when I return next.

Spring in Oregon makes up for the rainy Oregon winters. Everywhere you look it is beautiful. This is the view out our front window.

Little Dudes

Quinn and Cannon are a little bit like raising labs, they need to be fed and exercised before they go to bed. When it is rainy out, the best exercise I can offer is to turn on some music that they like and step back. They have come up with some pretty creative dance moves. Quinn likes it fast and Cannon likes it loud.

Easter Morning part 1

Perks of fatherhood

Cannon is a cuddler and its hard to beat when he hunkers in to take a nap on your chest.

Easter threads

Quinn is looking pretty dapper in his new Easter suit. He has worn it to church every Sunday since. He says he likes it because it has a red tie and red is his favorite color.

Gnomes

I pruned a lot of branches off of the trees in our back yard and Quinn and Cannon decided to make a fort out of them. It was pretty funny since the walls of the fort only had to be 2 1/2 feet tall to conceal both of them.

Crash

We are going to have to rename Cannon "Crash". It seems like just as one bruise on his head is healed, the next crash happens. This face plant was at Gabe and Dave's house over the weekend out on their stone patio. I haven't gone anywhere with the kids this week. I can't handle the dissapproving looks I get.

Girls Cruise

I went on a cruise with Nate's sisters and mom. It was so fun. I have the best in-laws. They are so easy-going and nice to each other. And a big thanks to DeAnn(my mother-in-law) for helping us all get there. We had a great time laying out, bartering at the mexican flea market, eating great food, watching dolphins and whales, running and exercising, and playing with Baby Kate. The guys that we are standing with were our appointed waiters each night at dinner.

I would definitely go on another. Anyone want to be in charge of planning the next group cruise?

PS. I came home to a clean house, happy kids and an awesome husband.
